In order to test the concept of our music video we are going to produce a test shoot. Although we cannot produce anything like what the real video will look like, we will use limited resources with no budget to create a video using similar concept to what want to achieve in the real thing. In order to do this, we will need certain props to aid us in our concept. These are listed below:
The tighten tubes will be used for the white light we use pulsing throughout most of the lip sync elements of the music video. These lights are portable so it will be easy for us to use them in the test shoot. The school has a large stock of them so we will be able to source them from the school.
The black paper is to attempt to the best we can to create a low ceiling in order to create a confined space as this is the main concept if the video. We will also use this black paper to block out any daylight through windows in order to create a studio like environment.
The skateboard will be used to put the guitarist on his back and slide up during the guitar solo as we attempt to create the tunnel part of the video in the middle 8.
The DLSR camera will be used to create the single frame section of our video in the non-lyric parts with the intense instrumental.
The duct tape will be used to secure the lack paper, and the ladder will be used to create hight on the shot also if we want to do some of the shots from above.
Our main challenge will be logically getting the whole band together and having all the instruments, we will have to set a time and make sure the whole band is around together in order to shoot the test shoot. This test will also act as a rehearsal for the band as they get more used to the song.
We will likely use one of the school band practice rooms as they already have a drum kit in them as moving drum kit would be a big hassle and we may not be able to do it.
