Today we asked the cast members who will play in our created band to bring in the costumes that we had arranged. We did this so that as a group we could review their outfits and make sure that we thought that they would work and follow the genre conventions of indie/rock as well as the star image of the band we are creating.
Below is Doug's costume that he will wear in the music video (potentially without the jacket):
Below are the costumes that Luke brought in for us to look at. He had a few options and we decided to go with the white t-shirt with the open red flannel shirt seen in the left picture. We also wanted him to wear those blue trousers.
Below is Mathews costume, as you can see its very casual and low key but also can be quite stylish and cool, we think that this is perfect for the bass player in our group.
Unfortunately, Dan was off sick this week and thus we could not look at him in his costume, but we have been made aware of what He is going to wear and we all like and approve it. I will also bring in some backups of my own clothes so that on the shoot day we can improvise and create/add to the costumes if they do not work on the day, this is just to be safe.
We will hold onto the costumes in a box in the media classroom, this ensures that they are 100% ready and that we do not need to rely on the cast members to bring them in on the day as if they were to forget this would negatively affect our shoot day and could potentially put the project in danger.
