For this post I combined social media research done my group and I looking into Instagram and twitter accounts of bands he similar genre. Some of my group members were not able to complete this task and some only completed one of the platforms. I will use this to conclude how often different types of posts are made on these accounts, this will aid me in creating our social media campaign as a will have a guide on what is the normal route for this genre in terms of social marketing.
Twitter tended across the board to be a more direct form of marketing. Some of the bands where not subtle about how they were selling their products and especially before the release they did not tend to have much else on their accounts apart from direct marketing.

Instagram tended to be more personal, especially for some of the younger bands. It was more focused on their personal life and not so much on the marketing when compared to twitter. Some of the older bands stuck to more performance based content this is because not only is it less likely their older audience cares, but also as Instagram is about pictures it is much more visual. Younger bands had a bit more personal content as their audiences are likely more active on social media and are likely more invested in them as its almost
