Social media

 Social media

Social media is an essential part of a music campaign, it allows for a cheap and effective way of spreading awareness for certain products. The interactive nature of social media with consumers/ audiences allows for feedback on certain things Aswell as giving a more accurate sense of consumer demands/internets. With 97% of marketers using social media, it is evidently a vital part of the media campaign. Social media is generally used to spread awareness Aswell as engage potential audiences as well as promoting products or in this case music.

Social media in terms of a music media campaign would consist of, engaging with the audience, telling a story and promoting music and other related products.

Engagement: Engagement is important as people need to have a reason to visit your certain social media account, this could be relating with audiences or even having entertaining content in order to spark interest in users, below is an example that I have put together of an engaging social media post. Below is an example post I made showing what would be engagement.

Tell a story: Telling the story is very important as it creates a movement for fans to follow as they become attached with the story, they become attached to the artist and thus the rest of their career. Below is a post I made telling a story.

Promote: Promotion is important as they artists/bands normally have very big social media platforms and it is free, so for the interest of the label they would want to promote as much as possible in proportion as views generally don’t enjoy visiting social media pages if it's just filled with promotion. Below Is an example of a promotion post I created.
