Post Production: Making Of Social Media 2

To add to the multiple pictures taken on the second half of our shoot day in Guildford, we would like to add more to the collection for the social media as this will give the account for variety. If not, the account would feel remarkably similar to the music video, and this will make it harder to create an authentic star image.

Due to high demand in the photograph studio for this exact reason, we are unable to get a slot in the studio this week. As there are no group members who take A-level photography, this limited us into our access to technology as non-of us have a proper camera. As we have our first draft for the products at the end of this week, it is important that we do our best to create some social media content.

On Wednesday, I organised a photo shoot with the whole band and asked them to bring their instruments. Our drummer Luke was unfortunately in the medical centre so he could not attend the meeting. This meant that we are limited on content as in those pictures ¾ band members are present. As we have some pictures of the band in Guildford on the shoot day, we don’t want the social media to look too similar to the music video.

As we then booked the studio for next week, I started to look down the timeline too see what other elements of the social media I could create. I used some pictures that we did have, and begun making drafts on the band instagram so that they are ready to go and be posted at the different times.

As I looked further down the timeline, I spoke to Anna who was designing the digipak and asked if I could have a few different copies of the logo. This was to I could begin to create different types of merchandise to sell and promote on the social media.

I used Vista-print to start to create different forms of merchandise that I could market on the social media that also acts as a marketing unit itself as people see others wearing the band name. Here is the process giving an invite into how I begum to create this merchandise.
